A new rule in France
What do you wear when you go out? These Muslim woman are wearing veils.
You can’t see their face and hair – only their eyes. The Government in France doesn’t want Muslim women to wear a veil.
The French Government says women must not wear a veil:- in hospitals
- in schools
- in government offices
- on public transport (trains and buses)
Many Muslim people live in France – about five million. The government says about 1,900 Muslim women wear a veil. But is it fair to control what people can and can’t wear?

I don't thing that the Franch Government has fair. These women have a religion and we mustn't change it. I have never seen a woman with veils in my country. My parents don't tell me what I can wear, I want wear clothes, which they like.

Hi!!!!!!!!!!! I'm markf96 from Italy!!!!!!!!! I think that it's a bad thing because the women are not good if the wear the veil. When I go out, I usually wear jeans, t-shirt, sweater and sneakers. I'm very happy to wear these clothes because they're coloured and fantastic. Always, the veils that the Muslism women dress are black or grey and they are horrible because they hide your face and they show only their eyes. I think that every people can do every think that want but wear these veils is horrible. Also my parents and relatives share my idea. These veils are also very horrible bacause they are dark. It's not fair , because evreybody has another tradition , and you can't do anything to change it . In Italy there are some muslim that wear veils , and one of this, I see at television , go with clothes in water , and the clothes are like swimmig costume. The italians are opposit from that.

I can wear everything that I want , my mum sometimes tell me about my look. If I want to go with a skirt at school , I wear it. If I want to wear a T-shirt in winter my mum tell me that I'm crazy, because here it's cold.

In my country woman don't wear the veil but there are Muslim woman who wear the veil. I think everyone can wear what she wants,if these woman want to wear the veil can do it,just that nobody obligations. In my school there is a girl wearing a veil and I do not by any discomfort. My parents don't choose for me what I wear.

I don`t knew in France are living 5 milion Muslim people !! It`s very many. In Poland aren`t living Muslim. In my country isn`t this rule. Yes, my parents sometimes tell to me what can or can`t wear, but it isn`t not normal clothes only normal warm clothes like: sweater, shawl, hat, gloves or "cold" clothes like: gym shoes, shorts, blouse with the short sleeve, cap. I think an old rule was stupid, but this new rule is good :) Bye !

hi I dont really think that its fair that the goverment says what other people have to wear do they if think about there believe and that kind of stuff . In the Netherlands i haven't seen any women that wear Veils but if i saw those people it wont borther my anyway because its none of my bussnis what people wear. sorry if i have a typ fault lol My Parents tell sometimes what i have to wear but mostly its my own choice what i have to wear.

women in Italy are free to dress as they please ie not have constraints, but there are foreign women who for religious reasons in Italy are also being forced to wear veils. I am free to dress as I want because my mother does not say anything about how I dress well because I put things normal and do not follow special mode. Ultimately I think it is fair to impose on a human being dress with veils also because they cover their faces, the hair that are important areas in the body of a woman. hallo tia

That is a good question, because I think this is not fair that only the muslim women must wear veilies !!! For exsample in summer it is very hot , they must wear this clothers ,but they can not swim in a pool , I think that is NOT FAIR ! ! !

If French government apply this rule, every ripercussion would go on Muslim women, because muslim men that have power on them and they WANT that women wear veils or burqa, while French government DON'T WANT they wear them, so muslim women don't know what to do, and they are punished everyway.

Hi everybody!! I think people should wear what they want because everyone should choose their own clothes...In this case the veil is a religious simbol and many people don't accept them...I think everyone shouldn't be afraid of them...because they're often afraid...In Italy there are many muslims people and some of them usually wear a veil but we can see the face of the person....but in France they wear a full veil and we can see only the eyes...for this thing I agree with the French government because muslims women should be recognized...but however I think everyone can have his own religious simbol...

In my country is cool (about 0 degree) but will be cold (- 8 degree) and I am wearing warm clothes, especially warm shoes. In France are living many Muslims. These women should wear veils but in France in new rule they mustn`t wear veils. However I don't know whether they won't be wearing veils. For these woman it`s tradition. But we will see. I think Muslims mustn`t wear veils. I think in Poland never Muslims (if would be) it won't be wear veils. Many people don`t like Muslim when they see your clothes. Often these people are feeling not good or bad. We shouldn`t to ridicule them !! It`s bad. We don`t like when some people don`t like us or they they are mocking us. In Poland where almost exclusively Poles live the view of some dark-skinned or yellow-skinned man is arousing the laughter, being suprised that somebody is different or the aversion in us. We should not express it, if really this way we feel. These people can feel hurt. Let us not forget about it!

For me it isn't fair that France Government decides how Muslim women must dress themselves. I think that all the humans are free and they can do what they want, without limits. In Italy women usually don't wear veils and they are free. I'm free, too: I can wear what I want and my family doesn't decide for me.

I think when people're meeting they look their faces and they decided and said :he is very accredited or not. they understand this their faces.If you meet a person who wear veils, how do you understand she is accredited or not??you can see only her eyes!!
